Now I laugh and now I cry like a baby, livin' and lovin' each day, and just maybe,
For all the good things that came true, beautiful music, the best of my blessings is you

image Barry Manilow is one of those people that only happen once in a lifetime; I'm just happy that he happened in mine. There are numerous websites that will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about Barry Manilow, many of which are on my links page. But if you didn't already know who he was, you wouldn't be here, would you? So I'm not going to go into all the stats about the man... I'm just going to tell you why I wanted to make a fanlisting for him.

Singer, songwriter, arranger, producer and all around entertainer - when it comes to music, Barry Manilow has done it all. I have been listening to his songs for as long as I can remember, and I don't believe I'll ever tire of listening to them. At age 72, how many singers do you know that are still doing concerts to sell-out crowds? He has millions of fans from all over the world that love him.

Although I have other favorite singers: Neil Diamond, Bruce Springsteen, Rod Stewart, and George Strait to name a few, none of them feeds my romantic soul like Barry Manilow does. I can, and do, listen to him for hours at a time. It's a good thing that cd's were invented, otherwise I know I would've worn out his records by now. The albums Even Now and Barry Manilow Live definitely would've been toast.

He is a man who truly cares about the music and the way it affects the people who listen to it. He cares about us, the fans, who, in turn, care about him. His accomplishments are many, but he is truly a gift to all of us. The world would have been cheated of a great performer, a true artist of his craft, and an amazing man if there had not been a Barry Manilow to nourish our hearts and souls. I'm honored to have been approved by The Fanlistings Network to run this fanlisting.

To me, there is one secret to Barry Manilow's recordings, whether they were written by him or not... they make you feel... and that's the reason why you love the songs that you do. - Decemberlady
